I am a lecturer and researcher since 2008 and my research focuses on managing investment portfolios, measuring stability of financial systems and data science.
I have carried out research-led teaching to incorporate the recent developments in academic literature in my sessions.
Alongside my academic career, I am a certified professional trainer since June 2013 and served as an external speaker for several public events and training courses.

Data Analyst
I worked as part of a team of 3 members and built a database for the banking sector in the UK to produce analytical reports for many financial and regulatory institutions.

I teach a variety of accounting and finance modules. I have a particular interest in modules related to data analytics and linking it to finance and banking specialisation. My current research projects focus on systemic risk in financial systems, behavioral finance and education personalisation using learning analytics.

I taught post graduate students enrolled in the CIPD programme. They were HR professionals and my lectures helped them to interpret financial and statistical reports and facilatate decision making process.

I worked as a business researcher to build a database for the main competitors for DMU. This database was used to draw a larger picture of the current market position for business and law school and to enhance its marketing strategy.

This was one of my greatest achievements I am proud of. I managed to link theory to practice by forming a passionate student society about finance. I organised technical training courses in specialisation areas such as banking, portfolio management and technical analysis where REAL practictioners partcipated in designing the training material and volunteered to teach students what they do in their daily job. Also, I led field trips to stock markets, investment banks, smart village to help students get closer to a REAL work environment and recognise the intensity of working in the financial industry. The student who acted as the president of the student society worn The collegiate Fellow of FMA for year 2013.
